I am French teacher assistant in Montessori school in Calgary and I really appreciate your recognition of how important to have a well trained and experienced teacher assistant in a Montessori environment especially to help the guide in the normalization process. You quoted "my amazing Montessori teaching assistant reinforces the important rules and routines of the class and helps diffuse any issues as they arise throughout the morning" just shows how you are in need of an assistant during your individual or group lessons and vise versa to support each other to achieve children's potential development! Because we teach the whole child, the method we employ must be that of a generalist rather than a specialist. We must become proficient in all subjects not just isolated disciplines. The mind of the child is not compartmentalized, so we should not teach as if it is."

The Universe in its wholeness is also compartmentalized in its planets and their unique attibutes and climates and compositions.

Our minds in many ways, need to work in gears to construct a whole perception. In time and with practice, the processing time is refined. As the universe expands...

The brain's lobes do this as well. Compartmentalizing tasks and creating an order is part of the Montessori way. Compartments in our environments use spaces effectively for organization and efficiency as a whole.

Isn't that an efficient thought process? It takes honing special skills to reach a generalized, multi-disciplined approach to aquiring competency.

Compartmentalizing doesn't have to be bad thing when relating it to the Universe and the Montessori way, does it? In some ways, factually and metaphorically, their ways are pretty similar. :)

MaryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-501824432676733753.post-1356088119144147032019-02-21T13:12:39.916-08:002019-02-21T13:12:39.916-08:00This write up has really opened my mind to the imp...This write up has really opened my mind to the importance of the prepared environment to the Montessori style of learning and conceptFebehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02740773097200142488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-501824432676733753.post-55549230392344614782019-02-17T01:24:14.249-08:002019-02-17T01:24:14.249-08:00there is another important principle in Montessori...there is another important principle in Montessori which would be worth mentioning: don't correct the child by telling him what he did wrong. show him again the activity,so he can correct himself. at the same time use materials which can offer the control of error, so the child can work easier and find by himself the mistake.Julliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12820611423178062211noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-501824432676733753.post-5556172498638510772019-01-31T13:27:50.584-08:002019-01-31T13:27:50.584-08:00I was wondering about the group projects you menti...I was wondering about the group projects you mentioned.
